Healthplan Part C

Healthplan Advantage Plans

Healthplan Advantage is a type of Healthplan health plan that is sold by private companies. Healthplan Advantage is an alternative to original Healthplan (Part A and Part B) and is referred to as Healthplan Part C. Healthplan Advantage plans are required by law to cover all the services available with Healthplan Part A and Part B. Many Healthplan Advantage plans may also offer additional benefits that are not available through original Healthplan such as Vision, Dental, Hearing, Transportation, and Gym Memberships.

Most Healthplan Advantage plans will include prescription drug coverage. If you are enrolled in a Healthplan Advantage plan, then you still have Healthplan but now you are covered by the plan and most of your Healthplan services will be covered through the plan and not through original Medicare.

Who is Eligible to Join a Healthplan Advantage Plan?

Healthplan Advantage Plans are available to all Healthplan beneficiaries who are entitled to Part A and enrolled in Part B of original Healthplan except for beneficiaries who have ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease).

To be eligible for a Healthplan Advantage plan you must reside in the service area of your plan choice.

How much does a Healthplan Advantage Plan Cost?
